Last weekend, I went to my Dad’s to celebrate my birthday. Part of my gift was venison from the butcher shop (: Unfortunately, our smoker is a dirty from all the rain lately and we couldn’t use it, so we used the attached grill. Then we finished it in the oven briefly. He also had made his own version of a French Dip with just cut strips of beef in homemade au jus with mushrooms, peppers, and onions. We put that on artisan bread, with cheese. It was delicious. AND, we got ribs from the butcher and baked those. Soo good.
